India Office, February 12, 1912.
I AM directed by the Secretary of State for India in Council to enclose for submission to the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs a copy of a telegram, dated the 9th February, from the Government of India, with reference to a report that the import of Indian opium into Chekiang has been prohibited. I am to enquire whether any information on the subject has reached your department. It will be observed that the Government of India's telegram has been repeated to His Majesty's Minister at Peking.
